According to the latest blog post from Google, coding has been one of the most popular requests that it has received from users ever since Google introduced its own AI chatbot, Bard.
With this latest update, Bard now has the ability to help people with programming and software development tasks, including code generation, debugging, and explanation, said product lead in Google Research Paige Bailey.
According to Google, they will be launching these capabilities in more than 20 programming languages, including C++, Go, Java, Javascript, Python and Typescript. And Bard can now generate code for the users, and easily export Python code to Google Colab.— no copy and paste will be required. It can also assist with writing functions for Google Sheets.
In addition to generating code, Bard can help explain code snippets, which will be particularly helpful for those who are new to programming or if any user needs some additional support to understand what a block of code might output.
This implies that Bard, Google’s generative AI project announced earlier this year, can evaluate and assist users in debugging their source code line by line. According to Google, developers may tell Bard, “this code didn’t work, please fix it,” and it will assist in debugging.
Bard is still an early experiment, but its new capabilities can help by offering new ways to write code, create test cases, and update APIs. added Google.
